Job Opportunities
Psychology is a field of study that opens up many routes. There are the facts and histories of psychology which are learned about in the course, but there are also many general translatable skills in the degree such as good oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Essentially, any career that involves human interaction or problem solving is suitable for a psychology graduate; the possible career field is very broad.
Some careers in psychology such as educational psychologist, counselling psychologist or forensic/clinical psychologist require further study. Some to doctoral level.
However, many graduates go into disciplines such as the caring professions, social work and social care or into more business orientated careers such as sales and marketing because understanding consumers is a very psychological activity. Another common avenue for graduates is human resources(HR).
